- [City of Floresville](https://www.drewadesigns.com/work/city-of-floresville/): Founded in 1867, Floresville was named after Don Francisco Flores de Abrego, an early settler from the Canary Islands\. Reflecting on the city’s namesake \(\<em\>flores\</em\> is Spanish for \<em\>flowers\</em\>\) and the profusion of wildflowers that cover the area in the springtime, we opted for a colorful, photography\-driven \<a href="https://www\.floresvilletx\.gov/" target="\_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"\>website design\</a\> featuring the city colors: green, red, and maroon\.

Primary goals for the website included improved communication with citizens, easier content management, and \<a href="/services/mobile\-development\-apps/"\>optimization for mobile devices\</a\>\. Features include multiple event calendars, news and documents from City Hall, and application forms available online for the first time\.

We also launched Floresville’s inaugural social media presence with an active \<a href="https://www\.facebook\.com/floresvilletx" target="\_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"\>Facebook page\</a\> with \<a href="/services/web\-development/\#external\-api\-integration"\>API integration\</a\>\. Recently, we worked with the creative team at Kindred Hearts to design and build a web application to run on in\-store kiosks\. Retail customers now use the app to create their own art products—personalized with their name and the logo of their favorite sports team, alma mater, or high school\.

Working with SAWS and The DeBerry Group, Drewa Designs developed and launched \<a href="https://watercitysa\.com/" target="\_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"\>Water City SA\</a\>, a microsite providing info on San Antonio's water resources\. While the original site featured an interactive survey—with some very unique functionality requirements—to collect and analyze input from the public, the current version is much simpler and serves primarily to introduce the latest Water Management Plan\.
