Evaluation Factors
Here
is a list of some of the questions we ask when calculating the cost
of a web site:
1.
What type of web site?
- A
brochure or informational site displays static HTML
text and graphics
- An
e-commerce site allows the visitor to order and pay for products
or services online
- A
database-driven site displays dynamic data by fetching most
of the content from a database
2.
How many pages?
- This
is the most important factor for a brochure site. E-commerce and database-driven
sites must be evaluated based on the number of categories, products,
or fields.
3.
Any special technology?
- There
are several optional features that can be added to a site: Flash
animations; HTML forms and CGI scripts; and JavaScript, Perl, and
PHP programming.
